Over Hawaii’s Fissure 8 – a 360 Photo
I visited Hawaii earlier this month and flew the drone over Fissure 8 in Leilani Estates, a subdivision 23 miles south of Hilo which was ground zero to the 2018 Kilauea Volcano eruption. The photo below is a moveable 360 degree photo – move it with your mouse or finger. The Fissure is directly down.
While I don’t live in the area, I have a certain affinity for the region as I stayed here with my daughters over Christmas 2014. The eruption destroyed 200 homes in Leilani, including that one.
This was shot on 4/7/2019. I’m working on a detailed blog post with a variety of photos and videos of the area which I will share with you soon.
